Recommendations Before Use

General Preparation

• Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dirt, grease, grime and previous coatings.

New Wood

• The ideal time to finish new wood is 1–3 months after installation.
• Treat all new timber with Prepdeck high-grade wood stripper following the label instructions.
• Rinse using a pressure washer (maximum 50 bar) with clean water.
• If the wood darkens due to tannin reaction, lighten it using a chlorine bleach and water solution (1 part bleach to 3 parts water). Do not use acid-based solutions.

Weathered Wood (Grey or Blackened)

• Treat with Prepdeck diluted up to 1 part Prepdeck to 20 parts bleach solution (prepared using 1 part bleach to 3 parts water).
• Scrub into the surface and leave according to the Prepdeck instructions.
• Rinse thoroughly using a pressure washer (maximum 50 bar).

Previously Coated Wood

• Tropitech All-in-One can only be applied to bare wood.
• Completely remove all previous paint, stain, varnish or oil using Prepdeck before application.
• If tannin staining occurs, lighten with a bleach and water solution (1:3 ratio). Do not use acid-based products.
• Allow to stand for 15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with a pressure washer (maximum 50 bar).

Application

• Stir thoroughly before and during application.
• Apply the first coat and allow it to dry for approximately 1–2 hours at 23°C.
• Apply the second coat as soon as the first coat is dry.
• Inspect the finish once dry. If the sheen is uneven or patchy, apply an additional coat.
• For heavy traffic areas such as decks, docks and walkways, a third coat is recommended for maximum durability.
• Note: Stained surfaces may become slippery when wet. Exercise caution.
