OWATROL TEXTROL GOLDEN OAK / RUSTIC OAK / WEATHERED GREY & GRAPHITE GREY
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Textrol – Deep Penetrating, Non-Peel Oil Finish for Exterior Wood
Textrol is the ideal choice when you need a deep-penetrating, non-peel oil for decking, cladding and other exterior timber.
Textrol is a penetrating wood oil that protects weathered timber against moisture and UV damage while nourishing the wood from within.
- Developed specifically for weathered wood.
- Penetrates deeply to protect from within.
Properties
- Suitable for both horizontal and vertical timber surfaces.
- Excellent penetration – the oil goes into the wood rather than sitting on the surface.
- Non-film-forming finish that will not crack, peel or flake.
- Protects against moisture and UV damage.
- Quick and easy wet-on-wet application.
- Provides mildew resistance.
- Easy to maintain with no sanding or stripping required.
Suitable For
- Softwoods and hardwoods including Cedar, Larch, Pine (treated or untreated), Ash and Oak.
- Decking, walkways, cladding, shingles, fences and other exterior timber structures.
- Not recommended for new wood. Use Seasonite instead.
Application
- Apply the first coat of Textrol and allow it to penetrate for 15–30 minutes.
- Apply a second coat and allow it to penetrate for a further 15–30 minutes.
- Continue applying coats until the timber is fully saturated and will absorb no more oil.
- Do not allow Textrol to dry between coats. Apply using the wet-on-wet method.
- Once the timber is saturated, brush out or wipe away any excess product to prevent shiny patches.
- The finish will gradually lighten over time due to sunlight and UV exposure.
- Refer to the product packaging for maintenance instructions.
