Deks Olje D2 – Non-Peel High Gloss Yacht Varnish for Interior & Exterior Wood

A flexible, high-gloss yacht varnish that moves with the wood to prevent cracking, peeling, flaking and blistering while enhancing the natural beauty of the timber.

• No sanding required between coats. For the best finish, lightly sand with 300-grit abrasive after the second-last coat to remove dust before applying the final coat.

Where to Use

• Exotic hardwoods: Teak, Ipe, Mahogany, Movingui, Bangkirai and similar species.
• Exterior: Garden furniture, windows, doors, gates and other exterior timber.
• Interior: Panelling, doors, window frames and interior joinery.
• Suitable for both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
• Marine applications above the waterline.
• Can be applied over Owatrol Oil to enhance a rustic finish on metal.

Recommendations Before Application

• Treat timber first with Deks Olje D1 or Owatrol Oil.
• Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt, grease and contamination.
• Do not apply if rain or wet weather is expected.
• Deks Olje D2 is not suitable for walking surfaces such as decks or hardwood decking, as the high-gloss finish can become slippery. Use Deks Olje D1 only for these areas.
• Do not thin the product.

Application

• Apply multiple coats of Deks Olje D2.
• Allow approximately 12–24 hours drying time between coats.
• No sanding is required between coats.
• Allow the final coat to cure for 3–4 days before returning the surface to service.
• Wipe away drips and runs immediately during application.

Application tools: Brush or roller.

Application temperature: 8°C to 35°C.

Drying time: Approximately 12 hours between coats.

Ready for use: 3–4 days.

Clean-up: White Spirit.
