Deks Olje D1 – Saturating Wood Oil for Interior & Exterior Hardwoods

Deks Olje D1 (pronounced "decks o-lee-ay") is a deep-penetrating saturating wood oil for interior and exterior timber. It nourishes and protects wood from within while enhancing the natural grain with a clear satin finish.

• Deep penetration stabilises the timber and protects against moisture ingress.

• Can be used alone for a silky matt finish or overcoated with Deks Olje D2 for a high-gloss finish.

Where to Use

• Hardwoods and tropical timbers: Teak, Mahogany, Oak, Chestnut, Movingui, Ipe and Bangkirai.
• Softwoods: Pine, Larch and Spruce.
• Exterior: Garden furniture, hardwood windows and doors, patios, walkways, boat decks and topsides.
• Interior: Panelling, stairs, doors, windows and door frames.
• Marine: Suitable above and below the waterline and an excellent primer for conventional single-pack marine coatings.
• Suitable for both horizontal and vertical timber surfaces.

Application

• Apply the first coat of Deks Olje D1 and allow it to penetrate for 15–30 minutes.
• Apply a second coat and allow it to penetrate for a further 15–30 minutes.
• Continue applying coats until the timber is fully saturated and will absorb no more oil.
• Remove or brush out any excess product that has not penetrated to prevent shiny patches.
• Do not allow the product to dry between coats. Apply using the wet-on-wet method.
• Refer to the product packaging for ongoing maintenance instructions.

Coverage & Technical Information

Multi-coat coverage: 1–4 m²/L (depending on timber porosity).

Maintenance coverage: 8–12 m²/L.

Application tools: Brush or roller.

Application temperature: 5°C to 35°C.

Drying time: 24 hours.

Ready for use: 3 days.

Clean-up: White Spirit.
