Recommendations Before Use
Before purchasing or using Prepdeck, perform a simple water absorption test.
Place a few drops of water on several areas of the dry timber and wait approximately 20 minutes.
- If the water is absorbed into the wood, the timber may only require Net-Trol to restore its natural appearance.
- If the water remains on the surface, an existing coating is still present and Prepdeck should be used to remove it.
- After stripping, it is strongly recommended to neutralise the surface with Net-Trol diluted 4:1 with water before applying most finishes.
- Exception: Neutralisation is not required when applying Tropitech as the final finish.
