Non-Peel, Clear, Deep Penetrating Oil Finish For Exterior Woods

Note: It is difficult to interpret or explain the "Clear" colour as it will vary depending on the type of wood you have.

The best guide is to place some water on your wood. This will give you a good indication of how Textrol Clear will look on your wood. (See Textrol Golden Oak, Rustic Oak, Weather Grey and Graphite Grey also.)

Penetrating oil finish/decking oil for weathered wood which protects against moisture and UV damage.

Excellent penetration – Textrol should be in the wood, not on the surface.
Non-film forming – will not crack, peel or flake.
Protects against moisture and UV damage.
Quick and easy "wet-on-wet" application.

Easy maintenance – no stripping or sanding required.

Suitable For

Softwoods and hardwoods including Cedar, Larch, Pine (pressure-treated or untreated), Ash and Oak.
Horizontal surfaces such as decks and walkways.
Vertical surfaces such as cladding, shingles, fences and other exterior timber structures.
Not recommended for new wood. Use Seasonite instead.

Application

Apply the first coat of Textrol and allow it to penetrate for 15–30 minutes.
Apply a second coat and allow it to penetrate for another 15–30 minutes.
Repeat until the wood is fully saturated and will accept no more oil.
Do not allow Textrol to become touch dry between coats. Apply using the "wet-on-wet" method.
Once the timber is saturated, brush out or wipe away any excess product that has not penetrated to avoid shiny spots.
Over time, the finish will gradually lighten due to sun and UV exposure. When the wood has faded to a light grey colour, it is time for a maintenance coat.
